How Our Mobile Home Demolition Process Works

Removing the Entire Mobile Home

Mobile home removal starts with a walkthrough so we can plan around the unit, the lot, and anything else you want gone. Once permits and utility disconnects are in place, we strip the skirting and tie-down anchors, dismantle the structure, and load every part of the home onto our trucks for hauling. Floor decking, roofing, framing, insulation, fixtures, ductwork – it all goes. Attached porches, decks, carports, and add-ons come down at the same time so you’re not stuck with leftover pieces.

Storm-Damaged and Abandoned Units

Bay County still has mobile homes sitting damaged from Hurricane Michael and other storms, and inherited or abandoned units are a regular call for us. We handle storm-compromised structures safely, working around partial collapses, damaged tie-downs, and unstable framing without putting the surrounding property at risk. If your removal is tied to an insurance claim, we can also coordinate documentation so the paperwork side stays clean.

What’s Included in a Mobile Home Demolition Project

A mobile home demolition with The Dumpster Guy is a complete service. A typical project includes:

  • On-site walkthrough and project scoping
  • Guidance on Bay County and municipal permit requirements
  • Coordination of utility disconnects (electric, water, sewer/septic, propane)
  • Removal of skirting, tie-down anchors, and steps
  • Mechanical demolition of the home structure
  • Removal of attached decks, porches, and add-ons
  • Complete debris hauling and disposal
  • Recycling of metal and salvageable materials where possible
  • Optional pad or footing removal
  • Final site grading and cleanup

If you’re also handling junk, storm debris, or renovation cleanout on the same property, our 10, 15, and 20 yard roll-off dumpsters pair well with the project. For full mobile home removal, dumpsters and hauling are built into the demolition quote.

Mobile Home Demolition FAQs

Do I need a permit to demolish a mobile home in Bay County?

In nearly every case, yes. Bay County and the incorporated cities require a demolition permit from the local building department before a mobile home can be torn down or removed. We’ll walk you through what’s required for your specific address.

How long does mobile home removal take?

Most single-wide and double-wide removals are completed in a single workday once permits and utility disconnects are in place. Larger or more complex units may take longer. Call us with your address and we’ll give you a project-specific timeline.

Can you remove a storm-damaged or hurricane-damaged mobile home?

Yes. Hurricane-damaged, fire-damaged, and abandoned mobile homes are some of the most common removals we handle in Bay County, especially since Hurricane Michael. We can also work with your insurance documentation if the removal is part of a claim.

What about the skirting, tie-downs, and pad?

Skirting, tie-down anchors, and steps are all removed as part of the demolition. Concrete pads and footings can be removed too if you want a fully cleared lot – let us know during the walkthrough and we’ll scope it accordingly.

What happens to all the debris?

Hauling and disposal are part of our quote. We load and remove every piece of the structure and dispose of materials at the appropriate facility, recycling metal and other salvageable materials where possible.

Can you also remove sheds, decks, or other outbuildings on the property?

Yes. Decks, porches, sheds, carports, fences, and other outbuildings can all be included in the project so you only deal with one crew and one quote.
