Driveway & Concrete Removal
Cracked driveways, sunken patios, deteriorating walkways, and aging concrete slabs all hit a point where repair stops making sense and removal is the better call.
Our Bay County concrete demolition crew breaks apart concrete of every thickness – residential driveways, commercial parking pads, patios, walkways, retaining walls, and structural foundations – then hauls it all away so your property is ready for whatever’s next.

Breaking Up and Removing Concrete on Your Property
What We Remove
If it’s concrete and it’s outliving its usefulness, we’ll take it out. Our crew handles concrete removal projects of every scope across Bay County, including:
- Residential driveways and approach pads
- Patios, pool decks, and outdoor entertaining areas
- Walkways, sidewalks, and pathways
- Retaining walls and decorative concrete features
- Commercial parking lots and loading pads
- Slab foundations and building footings
- Concrete steps, stoops, and porches
- Heavy-duty industrial pads and equipment foundations
Our Concrete Demolition Process
Every concrete removal starts with a walkthrough so we can plan the right approach. Thin residential driveways may break apart with a skid-steer breaker; thicker slabs and rebar-reinforced commercial concrete need heavy breakers or saw cutting. We work around existing landscaping, fences, irrigation, and utility lines to limit collateral damage, and we keep the work zone tidy as we go so dust and debris stay contained.
What’s Included in a Concrete Removal Project
A concrete removal with The Dumpster Guy is a complete service – you’re not coordinating multiple contractors or wondering what’s outside our scope. A typical project includes:
- On-site walkthrough and project scoping
- Guidance on Bay County and municipal permit requirements
- Locating and protecting nearby utilities
- Mechanical breaking, sawing, or removal of the concrete
- Hauling of all broken concrete and debris
- Recycling of concrete at appropriate facilities where possible
- Final site grading and cleanup
For smaller jobs where you’d rather break things up yourself and just need a way to get rid of the debris, we also rent 10, 15, and 20 yard roll-off dumpsters. Just keep in mind concrete is heavy – call us first and we’ll talk you through which size and weight limits to expect.

Driveway & Concrete Removal FAQs
Do I need a permit to remove a driveway or concrete in Bay County?
It depends on what you’re removing and where the work is happening. Right-of-way driveway aprons and structural concrete typically require a permit from your local building department or public works office; an interior patio or backyard slab usually does not. We’ll walk you through what applies to your specific address before we start.
How long does concrete removal take?
Most residential driveways and patios come out in a single workday. Thicker pads, rebar-reinforced commercial concrete, or larger areas may take longer. Call us with your address and rough dimensions and we’ll give you a realistic timeline.
Can you break up rebar-reinforced or thick concrete?
Yes. We use heavy breakers, hydraulic hammers, and concrete saws for thicker pours and reinforced slabs. There’s almost no Bay County concrete project we can’t handle.
What happens to all the broken concrete?
Hauling is part of our quote. We load and remove every piece of broken concrete and recycle it at the appropriate facility where possible. You’re left with a clean site and nothing to dispose of.
Will the work damage my landscaping or surrounding driveway?
We plan each job around the surrounding property – fences, lawns, irrigation, mailboxes, and utility lines. Some impact at the work zone edges is unavoidable, but our crew takes care to keep the rest of the property intact. We’ll flag anything we’re concerned about during the walkthrough.
Can you also remove foundation slabs?
Yes. Slab and foundation removal is a common project, either as a standalone job or as part of a larger demolition. Let us know what you’re planning and we’ll scope it.
